By following the assigned directions for stretching and exercise you can maintain and even improve your flexibility, strength, and balance needed to prevent tension, injury and new misalignments from forming.
Using precision spinal adjustments, the Doctor of Chiropractic will regularly check and recheck your posture and other physical signs that would indicate any spinal imbalances, misalignments, and nervous system dysfunction. These painless and accurate adjustments will enhance your healing ability, performance, and resistance to illness or disease.
At Knight Chiropractic the doctors often initially encourages the patient to combine AQUA-massage therapy with their chiropractic treatment schedule in order to address the muscular component. Aqua-massage is recommended to compliment the effects of the adjustment and to complete the wellness program. It is important to address the muscles (soft tissues) because muscles move joints, while ligaments and connective tissue support them. As chiropractors, we remove misalignments in the spine, but you may still experience pain without addressing the soft tissue problems. When tight muscles and shortened connective tissue are not addressed they can work against us by continuing to pull your joints back out of alignment. Basically, the body can form BAD habits from injury, lifestyles and negligence. These bad habits cause PAIN! We need to work together to retrain your body and create a better habit.
